The Holy Spirit does impart,
From the faith that is devoted;
In later times some will depart,
Two-faced spirits have revolted.
For the teachings of the demon,
The sincerity of liars;
The Doctrines of Christ abandon,
For scruples of sear desires.
Who forbids needed abstinence?
From foods that God has created;
In marriage knowing the conscience,
The truth that has been elated.
Everything created by God,
Is good and nothing rejected;
When received to honor and laud,
With thanksgiving as selected.
Because it is made sanctified,
By the Word of God and in prayer;
For honoring the crucified,
With sisters and brothers to share.
